I don't see why not. The 10AN movement did exist in 1933 and had 15 Jewels.

Has anyone ever seen a 10AN with sweep seconds?

Technically, this should be stamped 10ANC, but I see a lot that aren't. I suspect that the war may have necessitated a large demand for the centre sweep versions, and regular 10AN movts were retrofitted and not always stamped.

Which war?  This movement has a 1930 date code.  The dial is very civilian looking.  I have seen WW2 era Bulova sweep seconds movements without the C marking.

I found a couple of other references to the 10ANC on this site but don't see the 10ANC on the list of movements.  Ranfft doesn't have the 10ANC listed either.  Perhaps the administrators can add the 10ANC to the movement list?

Unless Bulova hadn't yet got into the habit of stamping them as such? The war doesn't apply to this one, so there must have been another trend they were following.

If competitors were offering a similar type of watch they would want to also be on that bandwagon. The Centre sweep came to be seen as 'modern' and possibly its popularity was influenced by WWI, but the chronometers and timers used then were pocket watch type.

There is another example of this, just trying to find it.....(different cal)
