Yea, a possible change of model ID may have slipped though the cracks. I think it's a WaterTite Duo-Wind "E", as does admin....as quoted below from his previous comments.
So I agree with Will that the subject watch is a WaterTite Duo-Wind "E".
One tick from me for non-confirmed, as IMO, it's almost confirmed to be something else :)
I've comer back to this one a few times, while researching another watch. Based on the conversation here and here, I think this watch needs to be re-evaluated. From 1950 until the end of the Duo Wind model run, they were all round except the 1950 -1951 the Duo Wind "E" and "I" appears as square per the earliest ads. It appears the first Duo Wind "E" was square.
This watch has a screw back, making it unique. The WaterTite line shows a model "D" and "F" in the database more similar than not to this watch. I believe this watch is a WaterTite - Variant being "Duo Wind E". The name "WaterTite" appears first in the ads suggesting it's the name and Duo Wind is the selling point feature.variant. If it was a Duo Wind model, it would have been advertised and "Duo Wind, WaterTite E".
