An 8AE movement made in 2009?

Just sort of a curiosity question....was going through some loose movements today and found an 8AE that is very clearly marked A9.  Did Bulova really continue making this movement through 2009?  Incidentally, the dial looks to be WAY more than 4 years old.

Just a mystery....

A9 is 1949 buddy. They can be stamped A9 or 49 or even J9! You were right to think it strange, nothing stranger than Bulova!
