Bulova cases

Hi all, I really have searched for this answer but can't find it. I have several vintage Bulova watches that are not in Bulova cases, Such as a 1929 President the case says American Standard Watch Co. My question, did Bulova use other case mfg.? I have cases marked American Standard but they also have Bulova's name. Also the watch in question the case has an F stamped in it, does this mean Gold Filled? this case test's 14K.

Any help would be appreciated, Thanks Dennis

Dennis,

American Standard Watch Case Company was used by Bulova and was actually puchased by Bulova in 1948.

Wow Bob, I have looked all over the internet and could not find that answer.

I found a site about American Standard with no mention of Bulova!

Thank you for your answer.

Yes the 'F' stamp does indeed mean Gold Filled.
