Bulova Richard Watch

Does anyone have a picture or real watch with the exact marking of the watch in this 1929 Bulova Richard Ad?

Stating the obvious - looks a lot like a Lone Eagle 2 only with the engraving moved to the outer edge of the case. So much so I had to look mine over.

1929 Bulova Richard  with engraving that matches the Richard ad above. Note the vertical gold inlays.

This picture of the 1929 Richard is the only one that I have seen. Does anyone have other pictures of the 1929 Richard to add to the database?

We have no on-site ad for the 1930 Richard. 1930 Richard has the following crystal dimensions: 16.1mm wide top & bottom, 19.2mm middle, 24.6mm long.

Does anyone have pictures of the 1930 Richard for our on-site data base?

 Wayne,

What is the above watch? I have the same model but it does not look like the Richard due to the engravings?

1930 Richard with an engraving upgrade from the 1929 Richard. Note both 1929 & 1930 have vertical gold inlays. I doesn't have any ads for proof. I had a conversation with Stephen awhile back & he thinks it is a Richard varient.  I think it is a 1930 Richard.  The following is a picture of my 1930 Richard. It has the wrong hands & a 1941 10AE movement. The case and dial are authentic. The watch is well worth finding authentic hands & 10AN movement to make it an authentic 1930 Richard or a 1930 Unknown whatever works.

Wayne,

I have this watch in the project pile, identical minus the engraving to the face. Case is gold inlayed as shown, hinged but engraved on its  sides only.10AN with the dust shield, butler finish dial, currently missing the hands and glass. Could be a 28 or 31 version. Check back in the am I will look at the date and post a couple of pics.

Mark.

Your watch is going to be a beauty when it's restored. I am in  sniper mode the next time I see one.

Here is a picture of my 1928 Governor.  It looks like the same basic case, also measures the same as my 1930 Richard & Lone Eagle II. I cannot find a Governor in any of the Bulova ads. I found the name in  the Complete Guide to Watches 2010 version, on the last page of the Bulova section. Which brings up a question.  Is your case with the gold inlays an upgrade of the Governor, or does it have a name of it's own?
