I have a watch that was in Grandma's jewelry box. "Bulova" is on the watch face and is also engraved on the back of the case. The serial number on the back of the case is G038115. I cannot find any reference to any Bulova serial number beginning with "G".

I believe Bulova started to use a letter a the begining of their serial numbers around 1955...starting with 'A' obviously. I have seen a couple of watches that start with a 'G' and they all seem to be from the early 1960s.
Does anyone know if there exits an official serial number listing from Bulova for their watches.
