Did Bulova use other companies watch cases in the 20's besides: Bulova and American Standard?

It's possible... we are finding the Bulova used several different companies for its early to mid 20's mens pocket watches.

Maybe research it a little to see if you find a pattern.

They certainly did. Star and Wadsworth were amoung their favorites.
