Hi Guys - I am collecting B ulova watches made in 1939.  If anyone has any and wishes to sell - perhaps you could make contact with me.  That year is my birthdate!  Th anks  Noel

Stephen,

Very similar -  '39 President.

Hnmm, close but I feel the President version is more square. Note the sub-dial curve.

1939 President - eBay watch in question - 1938 Minute Man

Confused Me also.  I concured at first I own a '37 and a '38 Minute Man that look identical to the '39 ebay watch aside from the engraved sides and the raised Gold Bulova logoon the dial, assuming these were upgrades for '39. Then stumbled onto this in the data base  http://www.mybulova.com/watches/1939-president-1049

Yeah chances are Scott's one is mis'id.

His is exactly the same as the watch in question here, but the curved sub dial goves it away. If you look back at most of the President series they are all very much square...well pre 1940s versions are anyway.

I'm still leaning towards the Minute man.

Note the curved case. The President is straight.

Lets just call it a "Minident" or a "Presiman".....:) .  I think it is the Minute Man also....but this is just by finding others and by crystal dimensions
