This is a question on the nawcc forum. I suspect someone here knows the answer. I am posting the question here. I posted to the nawcc forum a link here so maybe if it is answered someone will see it and not have to register a toss-away id....

Looks like a—my opinion only—fake. I've seen a couple posts across watch forums and they keep popping up. I hope I am wrong and that is why I figured the experts here could put this legend to rest.

Special, Limited edition, basically a promotional (Japanese mfg.) item along the same lines of the Harley Davidson watches or Jerins Cuff Link/ tie clasp/ money clip/ watch/ version that can be had "For the right bid" on the site that shall remain NAMELESS :-)

I have been advised by Bulova on a number of occasions that they have data going back to the early 70s, but maybe not on every single watch/model the sold/produced.

From the pictures above there is no way of saying if this is a fake watch or not. Only Bulova themselves would know this. I say that they are still the best one's to answer the question.

A picture of the movement may assist in identifying if its a genuine Bulova movement or not.

I would tend to agree thought that its possibly a promotional gimic by some opportunist company. (other than Bulova)

How about posting a pic of the watch here! As an X-member I can't seem to bring a picture up on the referenced site. I am semi-outraged that Bulova didn't notify Stephen about this product.

X-member of NAWCC, tried it for two years. They didn't cater enough to my specific interests.

Never heard of it, web search didn't bring anything up either - a lot of 'PATRIOT' Watches, just none made by Bulova.

Offering a percentage of the Sales profits to benefit Vets sounds like a scam to sell more product (?) and certainly Corporate Bulova would know about it if they manufactured it in the past Decade.

My exact thoughts.
