Hi Stephen... a couple of us had a bit of a discussion and...

You can read the full thing here:  www.mybulova.com/watches/1949-unknown-733

It started when I posted the 1949 - Unknown Bulova I found on Ebay in England.  William had made a comment about it possibly being a "jewelers upgrade" or mod.

I obviously am pretty stunted in my knowledge at this point and of course don't want to post something that's been moded as opposed to an original model.

I know I'm probably doing a terrible job of summarizing the conversation so I'm hoping you can glance through the above link and tell us what you think.?

It's essentially saying that we were wondering if you wouldn't mind putting an a "What is it?" forum for unknown models that we can post to... do research on... debate about... and the like.  After it's been decided if it was ID'd as a real model only Mr. Stephen would be able to add it to the offical model list.  We'd maybe be able to make sure only ID'd models made the list and not guesses or debated versions.

Thanks plainsmen, I'll be looking into how this might work and if its feasable given the number of watches already in the system.

The 'What is it?' forum topic is a great idea and I'll add this shortly with a link off the front page to give it a bit more visibility.

This kind of post is probably better suited to just an email as its probablly not your typical topic post.

Email address is [email protected]

Righto... thanks for the quick response and I'll just email ya in the future with my silly questions.  I've a bit of the ADHD and I'm about a million miles a second brother!

Thanks again for the great site!
