I need to adjust the regulator arm on my LE but I can't get the dust cover off. Are special tools needed?
If I do get it off is it hard to get it back on? Should I just take it to the watchmaker and let a pro do it?

Bob, I usually just wiggle the crown/stem up/down and back and forth gently and they usually pop up. They go back on easier than they come off. If there's gunk built up around the metal you can use a small piece of emery cloth or "scrunge pad" to remove the build up and use a light coat of oil arount the edge before you put it back together.
