Looking for a nice, 1972 Bulova. What would you recommend?

Submitted by GVP on April 9, 2012 - 10:06am

My sister wants a nice, maybe unusual 1972 Bulova for her partners birthday this year. I don't usually deal with watches of this late year so what models would you suggest?

Cheers

Gary

Gary' I suggest you go to the search feature of this site select my bulova watches. Leave model year at any then select 1972. Good luck with your search.

There are several great choices for that year, if you can find them.  The Jet Star series is very nice (but a bit difficult to find), an Accutron 218 is a classic and very fine choice (lots of options there), or a Deep Sea Chronograph (expensive and very hard to find in good shape).

Depends on how much you want to spend and what's available for sale.  A nice Accutron 218 is probably your best bet for reasonable cost and availability.  Just be sure you get the real thing with the tuning fork movement.

Are you looking for a Men's or a Lady's watch?

The 'SPINNAKER' hands down, not that I'm bias in any way.

The problem could be finding one, limited production.

It is a mens watch she wants. Wants to spend about $200-$300 or less.

A "WRISTALARM" is in that price range... I am partial to them :{)

Wrist Alarms are great, but finding one from 1972 would be difficult.  I know there's one in the database, but most of them are dated earlier than that.

Gary - I'm going to send you a PM.
