Shadow dials

I was just wondering if anyone has had one of these shadow dials(as in some of the AA models)refinished and how they came out.I would love to see pics of a refinished one if possible.Thanks.

Good subject Den. I'd like to see a refinished one also. I'm sure you could contact International and ask them to show you one they did but of course they would show you their absolute best job.

Good point. Of course they would show the best.  
You may be able to do a search for watches in database, subset all AA's AND include a comments field search for "redial" and see which records you get.

I don't think any refinisher could get anything like an original shadow finish.

If they can, the price would be prohibitive.

I had this watch re-dialed many years ago. I have lost contact with the gentleman who was my watchmaker at the time but I do think he used IDC. BTW I have had dozens of dials done by IDC and really have only had one minor issue. I see no reason they would not could not do a shadow dial, it's just paint.
