Top 5 Bulova watches

Submitted by Stephen Ollman on December 23, 2010 - 6:51am

Ok, Jerin (Plains) and I were chatting today and it got me thinking about what were the 5 most desirable Bulova watches.

My pick:

  1. 1926 18K Gold Conqueror
  2. Lone Eagle (5000 edition)
  3. The Chronograph 'C'
  4. Accutron Spaceview
  5. Astronaut

What's your?

Good question. Wearable?

A late 60's Stainless Steel flat dial Ambassador automatic would definately make My list for the movement and the aesthetics, which I found and currently is in rehab. Killer timepiece.

Wow that's a tough one  at this time of the morning. I can only come up with three.

1. 1926 Conqueror

2. Lone Eagle 5000

3. 1950 Academy Award

I'd have to come up with my others after some thought and maybe after I learn more.... but the first one that comes to mind..

The Spaceview... those are so cool looking...  I'm definately going to be getting one of those before I'm said and done.  Fantastic looking.

I just snagged an Astronaut!!  It's a 1969 Mark II model... black dial... stainless steel case.  I think it's going to be fantastic looking with a bit of scrub and polish.

I'll definately post of the pictures when it comes.

....to be honest there aren't any I don't like, besides Ugly Betty and a few Ladies models.

My top five - from my own hoard - someday I think I'll start a "covet" list as well......some of you have watches you'll just have to give me some day

1. 1930 Sky King - (I have it posted finally)

2. 1970 Chronograph "C" - just got one a month or so ago - 'near NOS' OMG is this thing cool

3. 1973 Jet Star Automatic - HUGE stainless case - blue face - day date up & down @ the 6 marker (I miss the 70's but I plan to be buried wearing this thing)

4. 1937 Corrigan  - It don't get much better than a Corrigan does it?

5. 1925 Conqueror - It's in for restoration right now. Eagle's are clearly more important historically but this is the FATHER of all Eagles so I have to go with dad - but I still love my LE, really, I do.

6. (hey a couple of you only used three so I'll use one of yours) I got my wife a 1927 Vassar for Christmas - those enamel ladies watches are cool, very cool

So many watches, so little time......and even LESS $$$

Geoff, if you ever wish to sell said Chrono "C" please allow me to make the first offer. I'd be honoured :-)

That's one sexy watch!!

I'll probably be wearing a very thick winter jacket as hell would have frozen over!!

:-)

Hmmm, Pick 5? That's tough. Most desirable, even tougher. I'll just do a few of my fav's that I like to wear.

1.)    1950 Flip Up Photo Case Watch, Very cool

2.)    1960 American Eagle, Sweet Assymetric design, thin and very comfortable to wear.

3.)    1960 President,  Love the ribbon stripe dial and the lugs look awesome.

4.)    1950 Treasure, Very art deco design, sleek, slim,  and very comfortable.

5.)    1932 President, just gotta love the wandering seconds dial. Always a conversation piece.

Of course there's other President's, The Lone Eagles and the Academy Award watches. I could go on and on ..................................................!
