Recently I inherited a watch from my grandmother that was my grandfather's. He bought in the late 60's from a gambling man. The inside of the case has lots of numbers written all over it none of which I can really make out.
My first question is what these numbers represent.
The back of the watch mechanism says "17 Jewels, Unadjusted Swiss M5" It has 10 CL inside a rectangle.
It is a Bulova, Has a square face and 32 Diamonds on the face. I think it originally had a black faceplate, my grandfather changed it to a gold one because it was easier for him to read.
I basically want to find out as much about the watch as possible. I will include some pictures.
Thank you in advance for any help offered.
Nick, M5 = 1965. The various markings on the inside case are those of jewelers. When a watch is serviced the jeweler will normally mark the details of when and who serviced the watch. If any jewelers can advise what the markings actualy indicate that may certainly help owners figure out the history to their watch.
Nick this is a very nice watch, and probably very expensive as well, with that many diamonds and 14K gold case. Hopefully we can help you identify it.
