Vintage Bulova watch box question

Submitted by oliverb on June 22, 2012 - 8:58am

Does anyone know if this style watch box was used only for a Lady's watch or if it was also used for Mens watches? Many thanks!

Oliverb - NOVA has a webpage which lists ads with boxes and example box photos.  The ads for which she has example boxes have actual pictures of the box on the right of the corresponding ads.  You may want to check link below, as I believe your box is listed there.  There may be more than one ad in which a box is shown, and I don't know how many ad example NOVA lists for each box- maybe just one or two ad examples per box.  See: http://www.watchophilia.com/general-information/bulova-watch-boxes/

Hey Oliver, if your watch fits and is of the era of the box, put it in! Great to have the original outer too, great box buddy.

The Colour may indicate the box was produced for a Ladies piece but I'm not completely sold on the 'C' clip thing.

Just love these old boxes Mark. Marketing  really new how to get a hook in you back then.

yep I see how "c-clip" could suggest size of watch this box would hold as being a gents...but those c clips can come w different sizes in same box- I'm guessing based on my box collection...
