What is wrong with this so-called Lone Eagle

Elgin Lone Eagle wristwatch 21J high grade movement 14K

Buy it Now only $249

1. It's not an Elgin or a Lone Eagle! It is a Bulova Tonneau ca.1928-30. I think it was a Richard variant that is fairly rare. Notice the different engraving pattern on both the verticle & horizontal bezel vs the Richard & the Lone Eagle.

2. The two gold inlays that run vertically along the crystal edge of the bezel are missing from the bezel

3. It should have a 10AN or 13AF movement not a 10AE

Some folks are just out to get the money.

Yeah I saw this one to... I've seen 2 watches in the last 2 weeks advertised as Lone Eagles on the ebay for auction.... which are not.

Let the Buyer Beware! I know you can't read Latin Plaines!

Yes, not a Lone Eagle.  With a 10AE in there a Frankenwatch for sure.

This is the only other Bulova tonneau I have seen in a photo. Any body have the watch? The engraving on the bezel sides was introduced in 1930. I call this engraving bowling pin & ball. This engraving pattern happens to be equipped with 2 balls. So let's call it bowling pin with balls pattern.
