myBulova.com Member Purge

All user accounts that have not been accessed for over a year will be 'De-activated' and then deleted if the owner does not contact admin@mybulova.com to request the account be re-activated within 7 days.

This purge will take place on May 12th 2012.

Calling all vintage Bulova watch repairmen

The site is receiving a good number of email enquiries relating to repairs of vintage Bulova watches. At the moment people looking to get their vintage Bulova watch fixed need to post a new Forum topic or comment.

For those that are in the business of repairing vintage watches, especially Bulova watches, please consider advertising your service on the front page of the myBulovca.com website. The first month is free and then only $10 per month after that.

This service is becoming more and more requested as people realise the value and craftsmenship behind our vintage beauties and in restoring them to their former glory.

Model Rating

A select group of panel members are able to rate the identification of a vintage Bulova watch. Ratings are:

• 1 Tick = Model identification not confirmed by the majority of panel members
• 2 Ticks = Model identification tentative by the majority of panel members
• 3 Ticks = Model identification confirmed by the majority of panel members

New Registrations

All new registrations will be vetted by the site administrator. If your registration is denied please feel free to contact admin@mybulova.com.

File names

There are still some members adding generic files names to their images that they upload. Could I please ask all members uploading images to follow these simple steps.

When adding a photo to the myBulova.com website, could you please give it a unique name which includes the date the photo was added.

eg. my-lone-eagle-04012011.jpg

As a number of members are adding photos with the same file name this is causing the site to display photos incorrectly or not at all.

File sizes

Please resize your images to be no more than 700 pixels wide and no more than 150Kb in size.

Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated. Images uploaded that are larger than the required size will be deleted.
