Watch Description

This one is a 1966 Bulova Beau Brummell "AQ" and could possibly have an original 1/20th 10KT gold filled Champion mesh bracelet.  The case is 10KT yellow gold filled as is the case back.   The case back has an M6 date code.   The dial is silver with 4 diamond rosettes at the 2, 4, 8, 10 markers.   Clearly the Waterproof on the dial was not 100% accurate as this has had some severe water intrusion but amazingly it is running and keeping perfect time.   I will put on my bench to do list for a full overall.

Been looking for one of these for a long time. White gold plate with 3 diamonds on a "pizza" dial. Overall very nice and keeping time. A few scratches on crystal to be buffed out. Front loader I have not attempted to open yet.

1958 Beau Brummell "B". A first for the database.

This was another one of those "what the heck is that" watches. Beautiful black dial sporting 3 diamonds. Band is a "Finesse", proper period and was on the watch when I received it. Gotta love the diamond dials!

A Bulova mystery dial watch has always been on my bucket list. Had the good fortune to find one with a diamond dial as well! White gold filled case with 6 diamonds on the dial . Mounted on black leather as originally sold. Front loading case with bezel ring. Running and currently keeping time. Ad is from 1961 Linebook147.

My wife found this one, called me to her computer and said "you need to buy this one!" I had to agree.....God bless her..... Single piece screw on back as well as case itself is identical to the 1964 Bulova 30 "DW". The only marking on the inside of the stainless case back is the number "2421"

Gilt dial is textured like linen and sports 20 diamonds in white gold mounts. Case is yellow gold plate, which seems unusual. No doubt it's a Beau Brummell, but I have yet to track down a variant. It's one I personally have never seen before.

30 jewels and 20 diamonds. It came out of the package running and is keeping time; but was horrible filthy on a crud caked replacement band with a multitude of crystal scratches. It cleaned up much better than I anticipated.

Here is one I was initially convinced was a modified "fantasy watch" when I found it online for sale. My thought was the diamond settings looked too big for the dial, and the combination of yellow gold with a black dial seemed out of the ordinary as well. Apparently everyone else thought the same, as it was purchased for  $1 over low opening bid.

Having never seen this one before and being a fan of diamond dials as well as 1958 dated and "what the heck is that?" watches, I took a shot.

Case date is 1958 (my birth year), 21 jewel movement is dated 1957. , I started out researching the case to figure out what it started life as and was quite amazed to actually find it depicted as purchased in 1958 Linebook BAWDO134.

1958 Beau Brummell "W" on the original band......

Some light crystal scratches / crazing and light to moderate plating wear on band. Running and keeping great time.

Watch Description

Here is another interesting one that I personally have never encountered. White gold filled with pierced "cat ear" lugs. White dial with white gold markers and diamonds set in 6 sided silver colored mounts at 12, 3, 6 and 9.

The only references I find to this watch are all dated 1958. Nothing in 1957 or 1959 Line Books or ads. One year model?

It is listed in the 1958 Line Book as Beau Brummell "X", however, I find it in a couple ads referred to as Bulova 23 "ZW" I find no difference between the two, and oddly, both are listed in the 1958 Price Guide, bearing the same ID number of  30141, with the yellow gold version referred to as BB "U' and also as 23 "YW" ID number 30142.

Based on the fact it is only pictured in the Line Book as a Beau Brummell, with no reference to Bulova 23, I personally would be inclined to call this a Beau, but am good with either ID. Either/or is a first for the Db.

1958 Beau Brummell "X" or

1958 Bulova 23 "ZW" ?

PS: watch came to me on a miserable worn out expansion band. I added the NOS leather matching the reference photos as best I could. Watch is keeping perfect time.
