Help identifying this Bulova 23-Jewel?

Face:

• silver, stainless steel
• no numbers, only silver marks
• "BULOVA", "23-Jewel"(in cursive) written above the centre of the watch
• "SELF WINDING" written below centre of the watch

Back:

• "BULOVA" written at top
• "STAINLESS STEEL CASE", "SHOCK RESISTANCE" written around the right side
• "WATERPROOF", "SELF WINDING",  "ANTI-MAGNETIC" written around the left side
• C87479 written at bottom

As soon as I get my camera back I'll be posting pictures of the watch to help with identification.

The watch was purchased by my father about 55 years ago in Los Angeles, California. It is still in excellent physical condition, and is still working.

Any help identifying the watch would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
