Oh look... it's a Corrigan missing 2/3 of it's case... for $350.00

So there's an auction up right now for a "Vintage 1950s Mens Bulova Manual Winding Stepped Case"

Sure looks to me like a late 1930's Corrigan that's missing 2/3's of it's case that has been polished up to sure look... well.. horrible.  Missing the overlapping crystal emplacement for the front as well as the extended lugs.

Notice any resemblence between above right and the below left disassembled Corrigan?

Yeah.... so do I.

So please beware of the mis-yeared, mis-labled, mis-crystaled, 2/3rd's in-complete Corrigan that's rediculously overpriced at this auction:

You know looking at the guys other stuff he seems to be pretty legitimate if not a mile overpriced.

I guess the question is does he know or not?  Should a guy just shoot him a little email with these details and give him a heads up?

I just checked out the listing but I don't see that anything is missing from the case. I'm not sure it's a Corrigan though it looks very similar. OCW has been around a long time and has a good reputation.

Certainly out of my price range but he's in Orange County, if he can get that kind of money, hat's off to him. Personally I don't he will but he could just be baiting this watch for a higher offer.

I don't know dude.. it looks exactly like a Corrigan that has the top of the case off.  If you look at my example picture where the Corrigan's case has been diassembled it looks pretty much like that.  Maybe Bulova brought it back 10-15 years later without the lug extension as well as the crystal part on the top.

It's half a Corrigan, obviously. Neat trick fitting a crystal though, hats off to that one.

I'd like to see the other watch. lol
