So here's what $10 bucks gets you.... *Updated!*

Submitted by plainsmen on January 8, 2011 - 8:48pm

So I just won an auction for  "10k GOLD FILLED BULOvA WATCHES" for $10.25

And here they are after I recieved them.

A no name chicks watch.... a 1946 nice case runner Cadet... and a old women's Bulova...

Neither women's work... and the Cadet obviously needs a redial... but for 10 bucks... heck it runs well and I'm happy.  A 30-40 redial and I've a decent Cadet.

Cadet needs a better cleaning... I just knocked most of the gunk off but need to hit the creases by the lugs...  Has a running 8AH movement... and the square = 1946 in the case I do believe.

All three caught the masses sleeping.

*Watch in My last post (note the original bracelet) + $100 for the BLACKOUT.

Nice sniping Plainsmen, textbook... I'd better step My game up a little.

Actually the Blackout I made the guy an offer less than a day into the 6 day auction and he accepted it.  We had been posting about the watch on here for several days and I had it on my mind as I was browsing watches and tah dah!!  It was there... so I threw out the offer.  In all fairness I think you guys would have found it if I hadn't jumped on it right away.

I think I'll humbly pass on the offer at this time but will not abstain from entertaining in the future.  I don't even have the watch yet!  Heh...

Incidently what did you end up getting that 50's big bezel for?

aha, the $50,000 question.

Plains,

I've been negotiating business deals involving Money and Property for almost 20 Years, on both sides of the Buying/Selling fence. To reveal that information at this time would show My hand Sir.

Respectfully.

Excellent question though...

Yeah you know your probably right Wayne... the Cadet and Lieutenant are both a little roundy on the sides...

Ignore the side scrolling, a variant no doubt :-)

Stephen,

I have to disagree, this case style is being discussed here: http://www.mybulova.com/node/1260

Notice the non engraved version, the "DIRECTOR" has a slightly smaller curved case, takes a different Crystal and the Hand / Dial combination is yet another variant.

The engraved Case is a different model IMO.

Confusing.
