Watch ID?

Submitted by jd36a on January 14, 2011 - 9:36pm

I bought a bag containing 5 Bulova watches. This one was the worst but also the oldest. Does anyone know what model it might be? It runs, and I'm wondering if its worth doing anything with.

Watch is showing a lot of non traditional Bulova characteristics.

Make certain the case is authentic.

FifthAvenue is correct, looks like a recase to me.

Thanks! So would all Bolova cases have serial numbers? This case has no numbers at all. Another watch in the bag had a marked Bolova case and face, but I suspect the movement had been replaced as there was no markings on it at all. I had bought the bag for a Stainless 50s automatic to use as a knock about watch. There was also a Military and another 50s 23j auto in the same bag.  I was just wondering if the other two were anything to hang on to.

The dial doesn't fit the case either. I am certain this is not a Bulova. Movement is probably the only bit that is.

Inside the case there were no markings either.  Thanks for all your answers.
