Queen Victoria

Just ran across this while looking for something else.  This watch was $1750 in 1927!!!   Must be the rarest Bulova ever.  Couldn't have been many sold if any.

Queen Vicky must of had a BIG wrist!! look at the size of that, even with the swiveling lugs!

$1,750.00 in 1927 had the same buying power as $21,350.89 in 2010,.Annual inflation over this period was 3.06%. That was a chunk of change then and still is now. I am sure that there are a couple floating around somewhere...{:>)

Has to be a typo, Queen Victoria Herself didn't have $1,750 back in '27.

$175.00

LOL I think the price is right. Platinum was more expensive than gold. Deffinitely top of the range for the extremely wealthy of the day.

I agree, but weren't the Gold models advertized at $30 - $40?

$1,750 seems like a stretch.

You beat me too it. I've plenty of ad (most crappy low res but most you can sorta make out the prices and all the zeros :-)

Bulova Watch

Yes that syas $3200!!

Most of the gold filled are $30 to $50. Gold by itseld usually starts at about $75, add a few diamonds and other gems and the prices I see range from $124 to several hundred.

The figure of $1750 in the original post to certainly accurate. Again for the rich and elite.
