Jinkies! What a mystery!?

We are having trouble identifying my watch. We can't get the "date my bulova" to work. there are no letters on the back of the watch, it says 10k gold filled and the other end has a number 8328775. I received it as a gift from my grandma. We don't want to take it apart ourselves we will take it to a jeweler for web pics as soon as we can get them up. The watch is gold with diamonds on either end of the face,  a square-ish face, but slightly rounded. Everything is original. Thank you for any help we can get

Nothing on the back case.....should all be under the hood on the movement and means its likely to be pre 1950.

Photo of watch and movement will certainly help us here.
