Business Idea

Looks like a sideline business opportunity for all you guys with spare parts.  Maybe throw in a little bead work for a spot of color. . . .

Lisa, I saw this as well and laughed when I read his description about if any of the watches worked he would put a happy face sticker on the back of the working watch... I think though this would be a SMALL NICHE MARKET...

I think they should ALL work, and be wound and set to the same time before wearing.

You guys have this all wrong...this is a wonderfull and rare example an early 'World Time' watch ensamble....this is the ONLY example of this rare piece I have ever seen...should fetch a pretty penny ...or 2 maybe even a nickel....

I'd give him .15 cents to take the listing down, and never speak of this again

Can't you just see the guys on this forum get together and start trading watches and beads and such, so they can get just the cutest bracelet ever!!!  Okay, which one of you will be the first to combine  Miss America, First Lady, Academy Award, Dolly Madison, and Diamond Dream?

Seriously, some people are just a little bit too crafty...  :) :)

Just thought it might be fun to resurrect this old thread with some fresh ideas for you guys to consider. . . something to go with the bracelet maybe?  A complete ensemble would be nice.

They really do need a little added bead work, though, IMO.

Put me down for the earring necklace set Lisa. Mrs Geoff has a birthday coming up. I wondered what you were doing with all those watches you're buying.

How long have you enjoyed this little hobby of yours?

Now you know what I'm planning to do with that 1921 job I just posted.  It will make a TRULY UNIQUE, SUPER RARE, ONE OF A KIND, MILITARY OFFICERS, NEVER SEEN BEFORE, TIFFANY-STYLE, DRIVERS, ART DECO, CURVEX, STEAMPUNK NECKLACE, BATTERY NOT INCLUDED.

It will just need a little cleaning, and shipping is a bargain at $499.99.

Interested?

I am, only if it's 14k though,

shesh, can't believe you left THAT out, and don't forget to prove the gold weight by showing it on a scale, in the shipping box along with all the packaging.

Shooter has it right: This is a Limited Series, Extremely Rare Art Deco Nouveau Bulova World Time Collectible Investment bracelet watch set, in ORIGINAL condition, with SOLID 14K Gold Filled cases and original fancy crystals made from INDESTRUCTEX.  And it is hard to see from the photo, but one time zone watch may be a GENUINE  Curvex, as well. Unbeatable value for this unusual and highly sought-after model, and a must-have for any serious collector, or that special travellin' lady.

The only other one sold in recent years was at Sotheby's  and it sparked a riot, forcing the auction to be shut down with an unknown buyer on a long distance phone from Monaco, or so it is rumoured.

I would concurr with Bob on this, it's a "rare custom made one of a kind " timezone bracelet...............yea right. I won't be exploring that. I'll keep my steampunk for the parts I need, and you just never know when you might need something. Yes, I'll admit it, I'm a "watchpart hoader" and I won't stop either. Dam, I'll be eating Kraft dinner and dogs , collecting welfare and 1/2 way to my deathbed before I'd stoop that low. actually, I'd never go down that far, 6' is as far as they need up here.

A little birdie told me there may be a watch listed on ePay this weekend some time.... Not by me, of course, and although we do have a rule about active ePay listings...... if I see it, I may bend that rule just a little and give you a hint..soley for horological Bulova purposes.....

This is by far my favorite to date. . . the "Senator B-rooch". . .

Of course, we may have trouble naming the "B" variant, since I'm not sure it's sporting the original strap.
