Back of the watch says:

Comes with a speidel usa watch band one end is attached the other its not. Its the original band that came with it.

Pictures, pictures, pictures!   We need pictures.  And did I mention pictures?

Seriously--we need pictures of the front, of the insides, of the case, inside and out.  Then we might be able to help you.  We'll do our best.

P.S.  We don't value watches on this site.  We do try to help you identify your watch by date and model name.  You may be able to use that information to set a value, but that would be up to you.

You will have to post a picture or two of it for a positive ID, sounds like it could be a Bulova 23 model and the value would be determined by condition, both mechanical and appearence.

L9 = 1959 model year, and there should be a few ad's under the information tab.

eBay auctions is a good source to compare value, just find one like yours and see what it sells for.

Bulova 23 with the "Sunburst" dial.

There should be some like it in the database and ad's

With that dial and 23 jewels, I've found this one from a 1954 ad. . .

Nope, it doesn't mean that.  It simply means that the ad I found during a quick search was from 1954.  Watches were often manufactured for more that one year. Your watch is "dated" by the symbol on the movement, e.g., L9 = 1959, and the corresponding symbol on the back of the case.  They don't always match, but are usually within a year or two.

The dials can vary, and we, presumably, don't yet have all the ads that were produced.  The database is a work in progress.  However, given what we do know, I think you can assume that you have a valid 1950s "Bulova 23".  Both the case and the dial are shown in the ads.

Like I said, we don't value watches on this site.  However, now that you know what it is, you can watch the auctions and see what a comparable watch in comparable condition sells for.

Just for reference on what they called that model in 1959, they made many different case styles, dial combos ect.

Here is one like it that sold on eBay recently, the value will depend on condition. These are quite common as the made a bunch of them for many years, so you should be able to find some listed there.

Do you think I should post it on Ebay?

Post it in the database and leave the for sale box checked, maybe someone that uses this site will make you an offer.

Is a good idea to port on Ebay. This clock is so impressive and also it can be expensive. You must exploit it!

I think the common hi-tek name for Anton11 is SPAMMER. But I'll have to admit I didn't look it up in Wikipedia.

Your probably right Wayne, I was just giving him the benefit of the doubt... I wonder if Stephan has a way to give him the "BOOT" if that's indeed the case??   Bob
