In the same ad... the Academy Award "DD"

Found in the same 1951 Spiegel's Catalog ad as the "R". 

This also shows there were ladies Academy Awards with no curtain dail.... interesting.

One things for sure, Bulova certainly milked this cow for all it was worth.

I'm with Ya - very interesting.

I've yet to see a Ladies stripe Dialed Watch named 'AA' in any ad.
