I recently purchased a vintage Bulova watch but I'm having a difficult time finding any information about it. From the Bulova date code (L5) I think it's from 1955. There's a number stamped on the back of the case on the bottom. It's L71845. It's an expansion band and it's marked USA on each link. I don't see any other markings on it. It works and it's in pretty good shape. I think it needs to be cleaned. The crystal is a little dingy. I wanted as much information on it as I could find before looking for somewhere to have it cleaned. Hopefully someone out there can help!

No problem. Just for future reference, if you look at the "Recent Comments" list, you'll see that both new watch entries and forum topics are listed, so that's how we get two discussions going at once concerning the same watch. Best to stick with one format or the other to avoid confusion.
