LONE EAGLE? REALLY??

Submitted by timerestoration on May 18, 2011 - 9:21am

Have any of you noticed how many "Lone Eagles" continue to come up for auction? Many of which are not even CLOSE! This kind of Misinformation can really muddy the waters of history for future generations. Just a thought!

eBay is filled with mis-information:

As a courtesy to someone who may be unknowing I will send an email and try to help clarify.

Some who know better, or should know better post the bad information anyway in the name of profit.

Buyer beware.

This has been an issue for a long time as we all well know. Some of the models don't even come close, but then again some do and its down the fact the people still don't know what's what.

You'd think that if you have an old Bulova and you wanted to sell it you'd do a little research on it first......thus stumbling across this site.....but then again that can be a double eadged sword for those of us that like picking up good watches that have been badly ID'd of have no ID.

I guess it can go both ways.

Depending on the mood I'm in that day, I too usually jsut send them an email to point out their mistake.

Also just a reminder to not list any 'active' ebay auctions on this site otherwise it will bve removed.

At least they have updated the model name now.
