Worlds ugliest watch

OK is this thing ugly or what? Its a recase and is thus a frankenbully. I purchased this one for the 8AZ movement inside.  Can't figure out why someone would recase that movement but they did.  BTW, I've been wearing this one for a bit and it's beginning to grow on me.

 Kinda looks like a knight's helmet.  It's growing on me, too.  Any idea which watch company originally used that case?

Hmmm...

 

It would make a bad ass "finger ring," in minuature?! 

It could always double as a "self defense," weapon? And even if you drop test it... unless it lands "just so..." the crystal remains PROTECTED! LOL...

 The dial does the case no favours at all in my opinion, a cheap refinish.

Case looks like something late 1950's Gruen would come up with to me.
