Need Help Identifying This Ladies' Bulova

Submitted by keithkaz on August 27, 2011 - 10:25am

Marked on the back "Bulova 14K Gold" and "0259902". The inside of the case is marked "Bulova 14K Gold New York" and is also hand-etched with a couple of numbers: "5769TW", "7-50B", "1223", "17499TW", and "23503TW". The works are marked "Bulovia Watch Co", "U.S.A.", and "21 Jewels".

I got this info from my brother-in-law but he didn't provide a movement code. I asked him to check and will update this when I receive the info. Until then any input will be appreciated.

The most important thing to find is the date code either on the back of the watch or the inside movement.

Keith,

1223 seems like a Case # (not serial #) which would be helpful in ID for Crystal replacement, most are initially written in ink and lost over time but a thoughtful Watchmaker will etch the number to the inner Caseback for future reference.

The etchings ending in 'TW' would be the Watchmakers marks for service, 'TW' being the service performed or the initials of the Watchmaker?
