Ladies' Bulova 6BO 15J 1953: possible, or necessarily a counterfeit?

Hello to all,

I am seeking some information about an old watch, apparently a Bulova, which I tried to authenticate on the Net, but to no avail thus far, and so, I was wondering whether one of you "Bulova aficionados" out there might be able to tell me whether or not I'm in possession of a genuine Bulova. Unfortunately, I have no photos right now, but here are the details about the watch:

Case: Probably not the original, as it is a stainless steel case marked "Liberty Watch Case Co." inside

Shape: small, circular

Front: "Bulova" in small capitals, and twelve (12) gold arabic numerals in italics,around which two circles divided up by perpendicular lines along the the radials to mark seconds;

Inside - The following is written, in orangish red, on the back of the movement:

- "15"

- "UNADJUSTED FIFTEEN JEWELS"

- "SWISS"

- "L3"

- "6BO" (inside a square)

- no visible serial number

(Note that the back of the movement is about identical to that of 6BO 17j watches I've seen on the Net, including as regards character font, size and colour.)

My confusion arises from the fact that, although, except as to shape (circular), my watch looks exactly like various other Bulova 6BO I've seen in pictures on the Internet, the latter are all "17"/"Adjusted Seventeen Jewels", whereas mine says "15"/"Unadjusted Fifteen Jewels". Ergo, question: does the description above correspond to an actual Bulova model, i.e. a 1953 6BO 15J, or is it that Bulova never made such a watch?

Thanks in advance to anyone who would be so kind as to enlighten me.
