Hi All,
New to the forum. Doing some cleaning and organizing in my house I came across an old box of watches that has accumulated through the years. Two of them are Bulovas. One , a wrist watch that does not work ( I would not even attempt to try and clean it as I know nothing about watches.). The other is a Pocket watch that has been sitting in the box since 1976. The pocket watch works perfectly. I have looked through this site and seen photos of the Older watch that look similar. I figure someone here will know what they really are insread of me guessing. Thanks for any help.
Hi,
the wristwatch looks like a 'DOUGLAS' (?) and appears in the 1945-49 vintage ad section of the site. The triangle stamped on the movement confirms 1945, possibly 1946.
The pocket watch is a beauty - N0 stamped on the movement indicates the production Date, 1970.
2593 printed inside the Caseback is the Case model number...as far as a model name ?
Were these found in a sock drawer by any chance? haha
I looked at the larger photo on my computer. N3 it is.
Thanks for the help in identifying these watches. Now I just have to decide if they go back in the drawer for however many years until I take them out and look at them again or do I sell them to someone who would really appreciate them. I have other watches from my Dad that have sentimental value that I would never get rid of. But that pocket watch was from one of my Dad's girlfriends that I was not to fond of.........
