Hi All, Hope everyone had a great holiday!

I've gotten a bit of confusing information concerning my Accutron 214. Some folks are telling me that the 394 battery is fine to use that I won't have any issues, and some are telling me that I need an accucell so that I don't damage the coil, or a diode installed. So my delema is what advise do I follow? I've had the watch for about 2 weeks and it has been running great on a 394 battery. What should I be looking for if there is a problem between the battery and the movement? Also, Should I expect to have issues in the near future with using the 394.

As usual thanks for any help- DD

Accucell.

Some 214's will run fast using a battery of incorrect voltage, coil damage can also occur.

Why take chances?

I have about 20 of the 214's and I run all but one of them on 387S batteries with no problem. I have one that will only run accurately on an Accucell. Many experts seem to suggest the Accucell but my experience with the 387S has led me to continue to use them.
