I I have a 1931 17 Jewels Bulova watch but cannot find any model info on this. Does anyone have any idea what this may be? I found this in my deceased fathers belongings. Any value ideas would help also.
Thanks Greg

'Skyscraper' is a term widely used by Sellers at Our favorite auction site to describe the Case design, I noticed the Watch in the database belonged to one of those Sellers, wether or not it is an actual Model name is anyones guess. I haven't seen one named in print, yet.

Correct, not my watch. This watch goes way back and the ID was probably done back then. I cannot remember if it had any advert edvidence to back up the name, but I do remember being certain the name was correct at time of entry.
An ad would be nice to confirm or not.

I bought a few similar from Mike back in 2007. He and I babbled back and forth via email about the "skyscraper" term. I don't remember if we bored/bothered admin with this diatribe.... I also don't remember if he had an ad or not. I think I added a "skyscraper" to database in 2007 and later deleted it as being "vague and useless info". I'll contact Mike and see about ads.
From what I see in the data base ads the only 2-tone engraved hexagonal case produced at the time was " Sky King ", http://www.mybulova.com/vintage-bulova-watch-ads?page=2
Well, what do you folks think of that?
