Is this even real?

Submitted by cindy bellamy on May 26, 2012 - 9:55am

Ok got this out of a big jewelry lot. Front has no glass but it's in good shape. Not sure it's real though.

Back says :

Under a symbol , Bulova, Water Resistant, 9063-5020 then AO in a square, Swiss A  then another symbol, 18k Gold.

Inside the back of that, it says C.K.C. Co China (or G.K.C.) not sure.  Inside it says Swiss Part, China Movement, No o Jewels , and a symbol that sort of looks like a clover or a club (like on a playing card) with another symbol inside . Doesn't look exactly like a club or clover but not sure of a better way to discribe it.

It's a quartz watch so probably late 60's or 70's ?

Is my watch a genuine Bulova and if so, anyone know the kind? Thanks so much

Cindy

Quartz would put it at late 1970s, or later.

But that was an Accutron / Quartz hybrid movement, not a pure quartz.  The Accuquartz still has the tuning fork.

Also want to make sure that from all the info I gave that it is not a knock off.  Thanks for answering , I keep getting errors on the photo , but its gold band and case except the back is silvertone, has a black face and 4 diamonds/crystals/cz's? on the face which is black and gold, going to take a look at the accuquartz.

Cindy,

Try adding it as a unknown to the "My Watches" feature under the home tab, It is a bit easier to add pictures there, just make sure they are the required size.

Admin,

Did you get the file I sent you "Instructions for uploading pictures". If you could load it into the site tools, instructions, site use, I think it would be of great help to new members. I know I muddled around for months before Wayne sent them to me. Haven't had a problem since! Ooops,Never mind, I just found it.

Lisa, Instructions for adding pictures are at the top of the Forums page. If you use Microsoft picture manager, open the picture, click  "Edit Pictures ", when the sidebar pops up, click re-size. Then select the "Predefined width x height" then in the drop down window and click on "Web Small" then "apply" and then save it. That should to the trick for size anyway.

Yes is does. I didn't pay attention to that.  I just saw the 60's-70's style comment, and missed the details.
