Looking for particular NOS Kreisler band from the 40's....
So this band is the one off my grandfather's 1940 Bulova. At the moment it's unwearable because the leather is very old and shot.

Hi Gents... As I'm going to try my hand at servicing and cleaning I really appreciated the tidbits of information you guys have freely given.
What I'm hoping to do is we can have them all in one post. Sort of a reference for ham handed beginners like me.
If everyone whose a watchmaker/hobbiest can just give a few "best practices" or little tidbit they've learned over the years to help us rookies forgo some of the mistakes you've learned from. I'd be really appreciative.

Bulova named this model watch the "Lone Eagle" The 14K white gold filled case is immaculate, with enamel designs on the cut corners, and engravings all around the bezel. The beautiful dial has been restored to it’s original luster, with luminous numerals and hands. The hinged case back has no personal engravings.
