15 Jewel, 26x38mm lug to lug
The BULOVA "ALDERMAN," Circa 1941- 42? Rose (aka: Pink or Red gold. Which equates to a higher copper content, for tint coloring...) 14kt. rolled gold plate case. 25mm wide, excluding the crown x 37mm, lug to lug. Copper finished dial with black arabic numerals and sub second dial, at 6 o'clock. Cobalt blue hour, minute and second hands, on the Rose tinted ensemble... Most likely "1941" release, since it's listed in the 1942 BB glass crystal catalog? (Also see the last image below, for reference...) And the fifth image (Stamford, YGP) was cropped from a 12/40 Saturday Evening Post display ad...
BEST :-) Scott
The top watch looks like it would be very distinct with a case like that. I saw it on Ebay and I'm really digging it. Anyone know what it is?
The BULOVA "BRIGADIER" Circa, 1948. 21 Jewel, Caliber 8AE. Identified from a 1948 vintage Jeweler's ad with the Brigadier Illustrated, thereon. (As well as the Shirley...) I presume this was a 1948 release, as I see it listed as being available in models: A, B and C, in a 1948 crystal catalog...
The case and dial look rather similar to the "Douglas" model, from about the same production timeframe, and therefore likely a capitalization upon the popularity of the Douglas style...
And like the Douglas... the Brigadier appears to have ALSO cam in Models A-E in the 1948 +/- timeframe... sported a 21 jewel movement, and even took the same glass+ as shown below...
Best :-) William
And as par... there were several "Brigadier" models produced... (Which when, who knows???)

Seller has it listed as a 1948 Bullet, but goes on to explain the bullet shaped lugs.
After looking I'm pretty sure this is a 1948 His Excellency NN
