Very interesting President Dial variant

Submitted by plainsmen on December 30, 2010 - 8:54am

Check this one out.  Gold marks at the 9,12,3... maybe silver or diamondettes for the rest?... white dial...

Very spartan and clean looking in my opinion.  I think I dig it.

Missing the hands but supposedly runs well.. to bad about the shape of the case but if a guy had a wrecked watch in a nice president case... this is a decently rare president dial I think to swap out.

Auction shows I believe the Anchor so probably 1942

Taking pictures of your watches....

Submitted by plainsmen on December 30, 2010 - 1:56am

So I've been slowly progressing in my picture taking I think.  As with everything, I can never do anything half way and I've been wanting to see if I can take decent pictures and I've a bit of artist flair in my blood.

About a month ago I was researching taking pictures for ads... you know ebay type stuff and I was wondering how some people can take such nice pictures.    I saw you pretty much need a light tent to get the right lighting.  I looked up the prices and was aghast at how much they wanted for some cloth covered wire frames!

Just came across a 1928 Baroness (from what i can tell). Watch does not work took it to a local watch shop and I was told they could not get any parts for it.If any one knows where I could locate parts to get it working I would appreciate it.
