Hello, I dont really post much on here, but i visit the site nearly every day. so let see if you can see what i saw :
Missing a stem/crown but for $13.25 I do believe I will take it!
Looks like it should polish up nicely. This is also a model I've been waiting to find.
1953 Bulova "Air King" say hello to all my friends!
I saw here some time ago that the best thing to polish an old Bulova is a jewlers cloth. I must say it works very well i am on my second one and these things are great. They polish and shine these old Bullies like nothing i have ever seen. Before i would put the cases and bracelets/bands in an electronic jewlery cleaner. But now i polish with the jewlers cloth and they just sparkel. I think maybe fifth talked about these in an old post. Trust me get one or two you will not be sorry you did. I buy mine on ebay alot cheaper.
Found him today... 1940 Commander.... great snag at $26 shipped. I think just the band alone is worth about 3x that.
The wear looks to be really minimal on the case. Needs hands and a crystal for sure but who knows if that dial will clean up at all? We'll see.... pretty stoked on this one. Not many of them in our database... maybe 1 or 2 others?
I'll update pics when I get it.
all 3 working, westclox and Bulova 1960 President look mint. Ladies watch is Lugano enamelled with cover.
Here's an interesting one. 1948 / 49 'COMMODORE'.
The Bracelet, although worn and not of much use, is identical to the one shown in the 1948ish ad.
Signed - American Standard.
