Note the arrow stamp on the movement next to the serial number. The original 5000 release always have the dual triangle and arrow (not sure what the arrow means)
I'm still trying to find the original photos of this watch as bought off eBay earlier this year. I wanted to show the before/after photos. Hopefully I can find then again.
I love bringing these particular watches back to life. New crystal, crown and stem is all it needed along with the hands being re-painted with lum.
This one is a keeper.
After many many years of sitting in it's box I decided to give this beauty a full dissassemble, clean, oil and polish. Sporting a nice new tan leather strap that is very close to the original of 1927. After a few timing adjustments, it's now keeping excellent time.
