Watch Description

This was my Grandmother's watch (she died in 1989, and apparently had it for some time before that), and appears to have a couple of small diamonds in a triangle on the top and bottom of the crystal.  It also has 7068 and 3 045 on the movement bottom.  (The 3 is slightly separated from the 045).  The case says "Bulova Quality" on it.  I can't seem to find a similar one in any of the pictures. It is silver in color.  Sides look like >x>x>x>x<x<x<x<x, though the < and > are longer and skinnier.  The manufacturer year is a guess. From the omega, it looks like it could be either 1930 or 1940, but I can't really tell.

Bob, this does not look like oval, it is clear triangle, not ad as ad :)

That is what I meant by it being an "iffy" advert.

It is wrong buddy. We have three ads, 1931, 1931 and 1932 that show the DM has oval "eye" shaped mounts, and one iffy  one from 1932 that has been made up by the jeweler, not issued by Bulova as a mat ad.

If you check out the ad you posted, it uses image 'cut-outs' and cut prices, something Bulova never condoned for it's approved dealerships. This shop was selling up it's stock and going out of business, and did not care what Bulova did or allowed any more (I have checked out the full ad, and others from the same company in the same time frame).

Here is a Dolly Madison ad Stephen found, Reading Eagle December 1st, 1931.

Read the description, so as not to mix the watches up. One has diamonds, the other not.

Panel - where we going with this one? I think I'm back to Lady Bulova (and not changing my mind again). I'm sold on the ad at the bottom of page 1

I'm not saying Lady Bulova Geoff, just usi g the ad to show jabs that the LB used triangular mounts.

This one is unknown, as we have nothing that is even close to it in the ads.

Unknown for me too. The case does not match the one shown in the Lady Bulova advert.

Hey Gents,

Sorry, but I don't pay too much attention to the ladies watches cept the American Girls. Kinda cheesy, I know, but they just don't spark much interest in me.
