Thanks NOVA,

yes, I was referring to the OUTER track.

I just thought an ad of a similar example might give more supporting evidence to the possibility of these dials being original to the cases.

I'm not sure I have an opinion one way or another... I guess from a design standpoint, it just doesn't look correct TO ME.

The question would be did all 1934 'PRESIDENT's have the wandering Seconds Dial, if so it IS incorrect.  - all ads show wandering Seconds.

As stated above, there are no ads for the President in 1933.  This could have been the 1933 model, still sold in 1934, prior to the design change.  We have seen that with many models.

I have this model dated 1932, and there is at least one more example in the database, also dated 1932.  So, to limit the inquiry to 1934 is incorrect.

It could be i have the year wrong i am going on the circle symbol on the movement. I seen the 32 in the data base and it looks alot like mine same movement differnt symbol. I will change this to a 32.

Was told from the old guy i got this from it was indeed a president. But being that nobody seems to be able to confirm this it will remain an unknown till such time we can agree on a name for this watch.

I noticed that there are three differnt years with the circle symbol 1925--1934--1944  I cant belive we can not put the right name with this watch. But i will keep up the hunt till this watch has a name. I still feel that it is a president!

Jim

If you want, you can change to president w/ appropriate year and see what happens.  The thread and conversation cites other examples for which this is an point of discussion, and I believe one of those is already listed as a president w/ similar dial with some ID star rating...but I may not be remembering correctly.  You may want to check on this other example via search to decide if you want to change from unknown.  Since all ads for the time range in question show wandering seconds dial, you won't find an ad, but there may exist crystal demensions/documentation which come into play as a tool in the ID'ing.
