Help me understand pre-dating a Watch prior to My Bulova verification. Because I'm going by Date of Movements. So therefore my Lone Eagle is a 1936 Case and a 1934 Movement? I think everything is original here for the exception of the hands which should most likely be Radium although I see other Lone Eagle's with Gold Hands. The original Dial Numerals are faded Black Enameled. So the hands should be black as well? So it needs to change to 1936? How do I edit listing once Verification happens? JEV1A

John - Several years ago we made a connection to serial numbers having date significance. Until Bulova began using the current date code system on cases (1948-49) we generally agree that the leading digit of case s/n indicates production year. I say generally because there are a couple exception we've found, mostly prior to 1930. We will change your date, once you save the record you cannot edit it in any way (and that's a REEEALLY long story). Regarding hands, I think they're supposed to be gold moderne style, it's hard to tell from adverts as they're shown dark.
