Read through again.  Still at unknown

Also at Unknown. It's a mix-match of possibilities and may be the result of cobbled parts....but then again it may certainly be a model we haven't seen yet.

How was the year determined?

The triangle and square also represent 1945 and 1946 and we have pocket watch adverts similar to the subject watch throughout the 1940s.

Well, here is another ad from 1943 showing a much closer version of the case and dial, however the 'Tuxedo' model uses a 17 jewel movement, so not a perfect match. Looks to have the two-tone dial and the engravings on the side of the case, slightly different bow shape:

Subject watch could be a 1940s model, and/or the Tuxedo was also available mid 30s

Yep this throws another model name into the mix, which is why I'm still at Unknown. Nothing is a good match, especially with that 21J movement and the fog chain ring.

It can not of course exclude movement swap, but the match of case is suppose indisputable

keegs - a call for more information on the case. Can you tell us what it says inside and outside the case back? Is it possible to add photos of the inside and outside?

I know it's an illustration, but the bow is definitely different.

We still have that sort of "hybred" engraving on the outter edge of the bezel.  I don't think any of the ads show this exact engraving pattern.
I'm still at unknown.
