Watch Description

Hi all -  I would apreciate help in identifying this watch. it has a 10k rolled gold case with gem stone embelishment.  the 7AH 17J movement is marked with an arrow and the case serial number is 7753245 . The dial is in very good condition possibly a refinished dial, both the case and  movement match the date of 1937 .

Hi George, I have to agree wit the other panel members, this one is no-conforming. But look on the bright side. It's still a cool looking case!

At this present time l agree but with the correct minute man dial, it will cease to be non conforming as the evidence on lisa's site proves it to be a minute man

Yea if you can find the dial and the jewel count mvnt matches.  At least it is "all Bulova" as it is :)

I found a minute man dial from the same era and had it re finished. I think it now makes this watch as it should be. and matches the other minute man watches in the db

I would like the panel to review this one again please

Hi George, it isn't the dial that led us down the "Unknown" ID on this one. The case, with the diamond addition is not a Minute man. As pictured in the advert Jerin posted above, we do not have a proper Bulova name.

BTW - the dial looks great, nice job on that. The new bracelet helps a lot, it's grand.

Hi Geoff

There is already one in db  which is the same as this one 1940 minute man with two diamonds .

I see one as an Unknown model too.

There's a 1939 Minute Man example here, with the following crystal specs and case deminsions listed in root record:

Crystal Details:

 Federal: MT4-265 165

                        Additional Information:

Case measures 42.5mm lug to lug x 22mm wide non inclusive of the Crown using Calipers.

Thanks for checking.  At least we now know the two have the same case size anyway...

Whilst the case shape is similar to the period Bulova Minute Man, the additional of the diamonds and un-named advert might suggest that its a different model all together. Until we can find a named adevert showing this unique case it should remain 'Unknown' Bulova.

Ceratinly update the record pictures though as this would assist other looking at this watch record.
