Case serial number gives a date of 1939.

Lady Bulova "F", from 1939 ad. Slightly different dial, but this ad has the correct dial but I cannot upload except as a thumbnail.

Shield and case SN dating to 1939.  Good catch.
I'm good w/ 1939 Lady Bulova "F".

Thank you. I wasn't sure what model. I love this watch. I love finding old watches in antique stores. I bought it for a nice price, but from these pictures above, I don't have the original band. I'm assuming the diamonds in mine are genuine. This is a lot of fun!

I'm two ticks tentative as the "F" variant.
Check the ads I posted above.  Dial differences in B&W 1939 Meyers ad which does not give variant.  The two "F" ads both seem to show some steps on the side, and if you check the graphics of these two "F" ads, they are very similar, but not the same watch graphic (look at the right side of the bracelet).  So if the steps don't exist, and are an artists rendering issue, it occurs in two different "F" graphics (one from 1938, another from 1939).

Checking if we have other watch examples, or newer ads since October 2012
