Watch Description

I don't know the model name but it is similar in size and dimension to a Gruen Curvex Majesty.  It's 52 mm from lug to lug and 20.5 mm across.  It keeps good time. The stem and crown are not original. I bought it from a dealer in Manila for $200, which now seems cheap inasmuch I've seen similar models for sale for much more.

Thank you. It is a keeper, for sure.  I wear it quite often.

First educated guess to narrow things down a little is the Bulova Minute Man. Certainly has the curve feature. Ahh but then there are the 21 Jewels!! A President maybe, but most Presidents have engraved cases.....hmmmm....

And what about that piece of the 6 showing under the subdial?  I haven't been able to find that feature on a Minute Man or a President.  So it may have a longer case.

There is no way that there is a model called a "Curvex" from Bulova. That is a patented and registered marque used excluively by Gruen. This ad is obviously a jeweller's ad, and they have guessed at the name, playing on the Gruen popularity. As we know, on the 'Bay, ALL curved watches are genuine Curvexes. Not.

Patent applied for, 1929, granted 1932, to the Gruen Watch Co. All other usage of the word is unauthorized.

Good point.  I think this is the same situation with Tank by Cartier

Without crystal specs this is only a guess based on the size and extreme curvature of the case but the BB MX3194 (31.9x15.4) looks to be correct. I have the MX3194 id'd as fitting the Bulova "Attorney", "Wilson" and Gruen Curvex "Majesty".

No ad's come up for the Attorney and Wilson isn't even in the drop down list. There are 2 '42 Attorney's in the watch db but are a different case.
