Movement is double date stamped with a cresent moon and a shield.  Watch is as found.  Bracelet if not original is most certainly of the period.

Thanks for the kind words guys, I think it's a beauty too.  I haven't seen one in the DB other than the three 1940 unknowns that you have referred to.  All have 7AP movements but there looks to be some slight differences between all of them.  Some have different dial center color, hand color and hand style.  Repairs over the years could account for the hands but what do you guys think about the dial color?  Would these type of things be accounted for by model variance?

Almost definitely, although some may have been re-finished or customised, most dial differences will be accounted for by the variant ID,but is unknown for yours as yet.

One thing is certain, Bulova did produce this dial color/print combination and yours is probably original and it would determine a letter designated variant to the model.

I think Bobbee ruled out possible Conqueror with the new newspaper ad on page 1 of this record. DarHin had asked about possible Conqueror based on crystal specs earlier in thread.
